ho is premraj?
Prem: love
Raj: king, ruler
In 2016, during a pivotal moment of transformation, I was given the name Premraj, which means “ruled by love.” That name became more than symbolic—it became the heart of my personal and professional path.
I was 29, living in India, and participating in a deeply immersive retreat called Path of Love. There, I began to move through the deepest layers of my personality and opened the door to my own trauma and emotional life. What I didn’t know at the time was that this moment would begin an eight-year journey into understanding the nervous system, safety, and the full depth of human experience.
In my early thirties, something essential faded. Life slowly lost its flavor. Joy became harder to access. The things that once supported me no longer brought emotional security or meaning. When I looked back, I realized that in my twenties I often woke up feeling naturally okay—not because life was perfect, but because my nervous system still felt safe. I hadn’t yet encountered the layers of trauma that would later surface.
That loss of safety became my teacher.
Through my own healing process, I began a three-year professional training in Somatic Experiencing. This is where I finally found what I had been searching for. Working with my own practitioner, I experienced a profound shift: I learned what safety actually feels like in the body—and I felt alive again.
This became the foundation of my work.
What I now offer my clients is not just insight, but nervous system safety. Mental understanding and nervous system safety operate in different realms, and they follow different rules. We cannot think our way into regulation—we have to feel our way there. The nervous system only learns through present-moment experience.
This is why my work is experiential, slow, and deeply attuned. Together, we listen to what your body already knows, and we restore the sense of safety that allows life to feel meaningful again.
As a practitioner of Somatic Experiencing, I have spent a lot of time learning how to hold a container for people to safely explore their feelings and emotions. I am lending you a safe and grounded nervous system, providing an exquisite space, gentle guidance, and a few pointed questions to help you feel your way through what is between you and aliveness.
Having spent years struggling to understand WHY I was feeling a lack of aliveness, I now deeply understand the path back to presence and will gladly walk with you there. Your personal story is the journey we will take, but the end goal is always safety. The somatic feeling of safety is the ground which everyone, myself especially, is actually looking for when we begin to seek help for our trauma work, relational work, or even just feeling like something is missing in our human experience. The longing to reconnect to that deeper truth begins with standing on the firm ground of safety and from there everything is possible. I look forward to working with any supporting you at every step of the journey.
